The place

A white village between the Sierra and the sea

Vélez de Benaudalla sits in the Guadalfeo valley, in the province of Granada, where the A-44 motorway from Granada reaches the coast. Around 3,100 people live here, among orange groves, a 16th-century garden and a castle overlooking the gorge.

It is not a beach resort, and that is the point: in one stay you can swim in the Mediterranean, walk in the mountains, spend a day in Granada and come back for dinner in a village square.
